There is an enormous wealth of things to do in Chicago when all
your work is done and you're all set to kick back. From
sporting events to restaurants to the bar and club scene, the
Windy City has something new and exciting everywhere you look.
The lakefront beaches are one of the reasons why visiting
Chicago in the spring and summer months is a fantastic idea;
with over twenty miles of sprawling sand, areas like Oak Street
are popular tanning beds and relaxation areas.
For the traveler who likes to keep him-or-herself in shape,
Chicago is one of the best cities in terms of accommodating
you. There are ample locations for bicycling, boating and
sailing, ice skating, swimming, and especially jogging.
The lakefront path is a beautiful place for a morning sweat, but
stay to the lit areas and keep a few people around you--you
know, just in case.
Wrigley Field and the United Center are two places to see the
best athletes Chicago has to offer. The Blackhawks provide
consistent entertainment and bone-rocking hits on ice, while the
once-mighty Bulls and resurgent Cubs do their respective things
nearby, too. There's nothing quite like a Chicago sports
crowd, and it's best to experience this for yourself.
When night falls, be sure to check out Chicago's wealth of
restaurants, nightclubs, and watering holes. You can
"get away with murder" at the dinner playhouse of the
same name, or hoist a few at Rock Bottom, one of the city's
biggest and best bar and restaurants. Blue Chicago is
another of the city's sparkling jewels, as it's host to some of
the best jazz and blues music in a city recognized for its skill
in that particular area.
Chicago truly has it all, and we personally guarantee that
you will never run out of exhilarating activities and places to
go throughout your stay. Have fun and enjoy yourself!
